Manchester beatmaker and synthesized voice enthusiast DANNY DRIVE THRU has made a crazy mixette of 52 tracks, one for each week of the year (not that that has any consequence). Its a great and diverse mix featuring a nice hip hop selection and some stuff in there you wouldn’t expect, like Linda Perhacs (whose Parallelograms album is blinding by the way). My track “Microscope Contents” is in there somewhere as well. Listen on mixcloud below or download here from Musique Large.

The release date for the 4 track “Margins EP” will be 4th October on digital and 11th October on vinyl, on Black Acre. I recently found my super 8 reels I filmed on a trip 8 years ago to California and Nevada, and using these whipped up a little promo video for title track “Margins”:

I’ve grown pretty fond of a lot of Black Acre’s material recently, having released artists such as Loops Haunt, Blue Daisy, Tokimonsta, Fantastic Mr Fox, Brokenchord and a load more. Last weekend the ravers descended on Pontins, at Camber Sands (and its scorching beach) for Bangface Weekender. As usual it was fun weekend with many glowsticks and inflatables, and loud repetitive dance music.
