I was keeping busy last year but evidently too busy to update my site here so a few things went un-noted.

Mainly, I released a remixed version of my album and it featured Mike Slott, Dam Mantle, Fulgeance, Mr Chop and many more – remixing the entire album in order – for a full 10 track digital package and 5 track vinyl version.

Here is a video for the Fuewa remix of ‘Answered’ and you can find a full bandcamp stream at the bottom. Unfortunately the vinyl is sold out on bandcamp but can be found here at Bleep.

Pleased to say that I will be performing a live gig with drummer Chris Walmsley at the MAMA Hoxton Plaza on Wednesday the 2nd of October, with Ambassadeurs in support. Slightly late to post this on here, but I really like this video that Diagram Design made for the last single ‘Beaks of Eagles’. Diagram Design are a Tokyo based design and video production house established in 2006, notably known in the music world for their fantastic official videos for Goth Trad’s ‘Cut End’ on Deep Medi, plus Teebs & Jackhigh’s ‘Rains’ on Svetlana Indsutries. They specialise in an organic style of highly syncopated animation, sometimes mixed with live action footage. This video for ‘Beaks of Eagles’ follows the psychedelic flight of an origami eagle across beautiful sunset skies before it bursts into multitudinous fragments of colour.

“The video for ‘Single Stripe’ was created by Graphic Surgery and mookx, visual artists from the Netherlands, using custom made software programmed by Johan Holwerda. It was made using a realtime controllable representation of the track in the form of a graphical oscillator, programmed in C# using technologies normally used to make shader effects for computer games. Every sound of the track is visually represented using the oscillator to perform live visual jam sessions on the track, which were then re-edited by mookx.”

It’s been a while since my last update, so quite a bit to rush through…

The main news is I’ve started a record label (DRUT) to release my new LP ‘Fourth: The Golden Eagle’ and lead single ‘Answered’. The single is out now on vinyl and digital and the LP is to be released on the 3rd of June. Jonathan Lieb directed this rather lavish video for the track featuring a girl becoming obsessed with searching for jigsaw puzzle pieces in snowy Denmark. Vice’s music channel Noisey premiered the video:
